About Me
Jasmine Carter also known as Snazzy Jazzy is a Performance Artist based in Maplewood, New Jersey. She is the owner of Infinite Storey Studio's LLC where she has merged the beauty of dancing (20 years) and painting (7 years) together as one body of work bringing the community in on this healing experience.
Her journey started back in 2015 at a credit recovery high school in South West, Philadelphia, PA as an art teacher where she connected with students ages 16-24 years old. Her way of engaging them was through their individual stories in abstract form and poetry. This experience helped them release and heal themselves of their trauma which made them feel FREE. This idea inspired her to use this on adults which turned into the birthing of Infinite Storey Studio's.
Infinite Storey Studio's is named after her late mother Juanita Kathleen Storey Carter (1961-2004). I believe we all have a story that lives forever so why not tell it in a healthy way that helps us heal. Snazzy Jazzy's work is a story from each chapter of her life, her process is based around emotions in which she matches with colors which leads her into an abstract direction. Her Great Grandmother, Juanita Heath Fitzgerald Watson (1911-1999) who was an abstract artist, spirit runs through her veins and exudes through her work as her abstract legacy lives on.
Snazzy Jazzy's mission statement is all about Guiding others in a Movement & Abstract Art healing experience for those who want to connect artistically through verbal and creative communication. This experience is not just for recreation but for corporate team building, professional development and or youth groups helping others communicate and grow in a different form of expression. Snazzy Jazzy refers to her story as "The Butterfly Journey" and as this journey continues she hopes to guide & help join the community beautifully and artistically.
